THINGS TO DO IN ABUJA -PAINT BALL WITH FRIENDS by Sebastian

Hello there, my name is Sebastian (an aspiring Globe Jaunter) and I would be sharing my first ever paint ball experience with everyone.

As an active follower of Globe Jaunters on Social media (My first tour with them was the Christmas edition of Usuma Dam in Dec 2016), I saw the flyer on Instagram and I instantly told my friends.

#3500 I thought to myself! what exactly are we going to be eating or drinking?

But I’ve never had a  paint balling experience so I thought to myself; why not!

The Journey from Bwari – Wuse 2 (Yes we were that interested)

On the long way there from the other end of civilization (Law School, Bwari), we had a run in with the po-po (police). *insert back and forth arguments and explanations*.

Nobody was harmed in the process of getting to the arena.

Fun times. OK so, paint balling…was a bit disappointed seeing the setup it was soo not like the forests and army layout Hollywood made me believe.I mean this is Nigeria but I expected more. So till I got strapped in my jumpsuit and vest crouching behind a barrel, I didn’t realize what I was in for!

Some groups were really extra

It was time for the safety routine and Mr Steve the Instructor came to give us a BRIEF or so we thought 😭😭😭😭. He went on.and on..and on…and on…and on.

In Mr Steve’s words, Paintball is a game developed in the 1980s in which players eliminate opponents from play by hitting them with dye-filled, breakable, oil and gelatin paint balls, or pellets, usually shot from a carbon dioxide or compressed air (Nitrogen) powered “paintball marker”. The game is regularly played at a sporting level with organized competition involving major tournaments, professional teams, and players. dsjfhgsfbrjkfhisvdsbNCSDBHVBSNbnmvwhjksldfkcnzb nmcabhvdhjksldfjshdfbjnksmckhahvdbcs djjksksdjfa’efhf hfksfehweFUWHFHWRJF

And he went on..and on…and on…

After all the talk and some of us willing to risk our lives on the line than endure more talk, we were divided into groups and the games began.

All groups …before the games began…

It was all fun and games until I shot two of my friends who were on the other side 😭 but Oh well, we were made to chant “NO FRIENDS N WAR”.   The whole thing was really cool. My team eventually won all two matches (best believe).

Drop roll and cover….covert operations; get the flag: protect the flag! I found out my aim was not bad at all! I don’t know if that’s a bad thing or a good thing knowing I can handle a gun pretty well.

Let’s not forget the people!! Met some really nice people that day; humans that travel. We bonded over pizza and drinks and it was an unforgettable experience.

We got together, introduced ourselves and our businesses if any, played games and talked about future Globe Jaunters Tours. The aftermath was amazing and fun packed with activities and memorable moments. For one  reason or the other I knew Globe Jaunters will never disappoint…. It all ended with a bang!

  1. Hilarious recap. (PS how are we supposed to believe your team won?) The last picture though..did some people come and not play? Lol

What about pictures of the aftermath?

    1. I believe winning two games out of two is a total win for my team…and others were obviously not courageous enough to enter the battle field.
